I’ve designed and sewn over 500 complete wedding dresses

But if I had to choose a favorite, Jenna’s would definitely be at the top of the list, even though it was the most challenging dress I've ever built. This dress is one I’ll never forget, and here’s why!

During her time as bridal sales representative, Jenna dreamed up the perfect vision of her own future wedding dress.

But when she started really looking around, she couldn’t find anyone to tackle her elaborate design. The closer Jenna got to her wedding date, the more she worried that she wouldn’t get to wear her dream gown for her big day.

Luckily, Jenna’s friend suggested us. Jenna scheduled a custom consultation, I sketched her dream gown, and then she booked her custom dress the same day! I quickly sourced the fabrics and beadwork and began undertaking the most dramatic architectural dress I’ve ever done.

Her consultation was in late 2019, so we were able to get in a few fittings without a hitch, but then Covid-19 hit a few months later! Jenna had to postpone her June wedding, and I had to close my studio to customers, but Jenna faced her wedding planning challenges gracefully, and I was able to keep working on her dress. I probably spent a full 40 hours during the original lockdown just working on the draping and the beading!

“I was hesitant because my vision was so elaborate and over the top. Watching it come together was magical. I never felt like I was just blindly trusting- I always felt informed and involved, which gave someone like me the reassurance I needed. At each fitting, I became more and more confident that my vision was coming to life. I couldn’t be happier with the finished gown, and it was absolutely perfect on my wedding day!” - Jenna

All in all, the journey was so worth it for both of us. Jenna’s wedding photos (captured by Justin Lister Photography) are stunning, and I’m so glad she got to feel beautiful in a fairytale wedding dress without comprising her style. Personally, I grew immensely as a designer and was able to stretch my creative muscles in a way that I hadn’t in a long time.

Jenna’s rescheduled wedding date was in September, but she recently did a bridal photoshoot with
Avid Artistry to capture even more photos of her gown. This is one of my favorites!

Jenna’s dress is proof that I can bring any dream gown to life—no matter how unattainable it might seem. So, future brides, dream big! I can’t wait to create your custom gown, too.
