Wichita's Bridal Design House

I’ve been designing dresses for 22 years 

and I’ve spent the last twelve of those years growing Vanya Designs, my custom design studio in Wichita, Kansas. We are the only design house in the Midwest where brides can come in for a consultation and have their dress sketched right before their eyes. To get this experience somewhere else, you’d have to travel to a big city like New York!

My experience has taught me that some brides know what they want when they come in for a consultation, but some brides have no idea what their bridal style is. That’s why I decided we needed to take their experience one step further.

We now offer a variety of skirt and top separates 

Brides can try on during their consultation in multiple sizes! This is perfect for brides who are unsure what their wedding style is. It helps relieve any fears of, “but I don’t know how that’s going to look on me.”

The dress I’ve pictured is actually a combination of THREE different “shape” pieces: our V-neck bodice, Chantilly bodice overlay, and Boho skirt. Much like a paper doll, we’ve created mix-and-match tops and bottoms so you can see how you’ll look in your custom design!

These sample shapes also allow me to curate styles for brides who prefer to do the design experience virtually. By mixing and matching shapes and dressing a mannequin in the style(s) of your choice, you will have a visual right in front of you of how your design ideas will look in real life!
