Your custom gown begins to take form during a personal consultation with our designer, Alicia V. Ybarra. It’s the first step on a journey to a unique, wearable work of art that brings out your inner beauty.
This first appointment takes about an hour. You may want Alicia to redesign a vintage heirloom gown to make it your own or you may have her create an original couture piece of art which is completely new. No matter what gown you have in mind, the process begins with listening. Bring your Pinterest board, photos and ideas. During the conversation Alicia will ask specific questions to understand your dream. Alicia will sketch the gown as you are visiting and then help you choose design details, colors, laces and fabrics that fit your vision, body and style.
This brief video shows how our design process flows from the initial consultation to the day you pick up your custom gown.
Ready to begin?
Sit down for a consultation with our designer Alicia and share your ideas and inspiration as she sketches your future dream gown right in front of you!
During the consultation you will feel the fabrics and laces and Alicia will help you to choose the perfect combination for your gown.
Your lining fitting may feel a little like trying your dress on inside out. This important stage allows Alicia to fit the dress perfectly to your body and allows for design adjustments.
This is where you will begin to see your dress come to life! It will be cut and sewn in your fabrics, and any necessary size adjustments will be made.
At each of your additional fittings you will be a part of the design process as decisions on details such as beadwork and appliques are added and adjusted until your masterpiece is realized.
Your dress is finished! All final adjustments have been made and your hem and zipper are in. Your dress will be bustled for dancing and we will schedule a steaming, spot cleaning and pick-up date.
