You guys, seriously, how amazing was this night?! If you missed Freedom Through Fashion this year don’t worry! You can join us next year for an even bigger celebration, for now you’ll have to settle for these incredible, amazing, unbelievable photos of our event captured by the wonderful photographers who so generously donated their time to shoot the event for us, thank you KACY MEINECKE, JUSTIN CASANOVA and of course major thanks to our videographer ALEX SCHNEIDER! So many incredible people came together to make the night a success and we seriously couldn’t be more grateful. Okay – on to the photos!
We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to all the amazing local businesses that donated to our silent auction. We had some truly incredible items and it’s the generosity of those who donated that helped us come so close to our fundraising goal of $10k! Our final number was $8900. Great job friends!! Freedom Through Fashion was put together through the combined efforts of so many wonderful people who volunteered their time and resources and we feel so blessed to have been a part of this amazing event.
Major thanks to Eric Fisher who donated supplies and stylists, and to the stylists who spent nearly 12 hours on their feet doing hair and makeup! Models and Images provided our Redemption Line models and of course a big thank you to all the Real Women brides and former clients who worked the runway in the gowns we designed for them!
The event entertainment was provided by Angel Feet Dance Troupe, the Jill Landrith Dance Co. and the music and video for the event was done by HOSS ARTS. Our incredible emcees also gave us their time and talents – Sierra Scott, Miss Kansas Kendal Schoenekase, Miss Kansas outstanding teen Paige Kauffman and former Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen (2013) Kristen Boxman. They did such an amazing job and we are so excited that they chose to participate in the event, Paige was not only our emcee – she was instrumental in the creation and planning of the event and was a vital part of our planning committee.
We’re also so thrilled that Mayor Longwell made an appearance and spoke at our event. The mission of ICTSOS and the cause behind our event are is so incredibly important and knowing we have the support of the city behind us is an incredible feeling.
Above all, Wichita, it was your generosity which made Freedom Through Fashion a huge success. You helped bring ICT SOS so much closer to realizing their goal of bringing tattoo artist Chris Baker to Wichita to train local artists in the cover up and removal of tattoos on human trafficking victims. Not only does this help the victims to heal and recover, it can prevent them from being re-targeted.
Finally, we were so proud to debut our very first designer collection – Redemption – at the event. This was the culmination of so many dreams and God’s hand was clearly instrumental in bringing us all together. The night was such a blur we just keep looking back through the photos and back through the awesome social media shoutouts and each time we’re completely overwhelmed! This post is all about gratitude, so while we’ll share some shots of the gowns on the runway, look for a more detailed post next month all about the Redemption line from inspiration to production to runway (and some even more exciting news we can’t wait to share with you!). The Redemption gowns are in the shop available to try on and 10% of the proceeds from the sales of those gowns will go directly to ICT SOS.
