4 Things to Consider

As beautiful and as breathtaking as they are, wedding dresses aren’t the only important piece of wedding day fashion. The perfect tuxedo or suit is just as essential, but many grooms get stuck on whether to rent or buy. We’ve put together a list of the 4 most important things to consider as you decide.

1. Your Budget

Renting a tuxedo is cheaper than buying one, so renting might be a better option for you if you don’t plan to wear it more than once. In general, it can cost twice to three times as much to buy a tuxedo or suit compared to renting.

2. How Many Times You’ll Wear It

Wearing your suit just one additional time after your big day might be enough to pay for itself. If you think you’ll wear a suit or tuxedo again, buying might be the way to go. Especially if you opt for a versatile style, it could be handy to have a suit or tuxedo on hand for other special occasions in your life.

3. Your Size and Shape

As you might have guessed, rental tuxedos can only undergo minor alterations like sleeve and pant length. If you’re on the taller, bigger, or smaller side, or if maybe you’re a bodybuilder with killer biceps that don’t fit into a standard suit, it might be best to buy so we can ensure you have a perfect fit. Oh, and by the way, your alterations are free when you purchase a suit from us ;)

4. If Someone Wearing It Before You is a Dealbreaker

Maybe we’re stating the obvious, but you should know that you’re probably not the first guy to wear that rental tux. We thoroughly clean every rental suit, but if it still gives you the heebie jeebies to think about someone else wearing it (and sweating in it), renting might not be for you.

While we think these are the 4 most important things to consider, keep in mind that renting and buying can look a little different as far as options and what accessories are included depending on your particular style. Ultimately, only you know what’s best for yourself and your own big day.
